Yesterday, the Rangers faced a crushing defeat dealt to them by the Senators. New York lost by a score of 4-1 in Ottawa. Tonight, they get set for a second match against an Atlantic Division team in less than 24 hours as they face the Montreal Canadiens tonight at the Bell Center. The Rangers will look to bounce back from their defeat with a big win tonight.

Despite losing by a large margin yesterday, coach Quinn has opted to show faith in his current lineup. There will be no changes made to the Rangers' starting lineup ahead of this evening's game in Montreal save for one.

Alexandar Georgiev will step in as the starting goaltender tonight after Lundqvist allowed four goals yesterday. Considering the fact that Lundqvist played a game less than 24 hours ago and the fact that he didn't have a good performance at all, the choice for the starting goaltender tonight seems obvious, but it may not be as obvious as we think. in his last game out for the Rangers Georgiev played horrendously and was replaced by Lundqvist in the second period after letting in 5 goals. On top of that, the last time that he faced the Montreal Canadiens, he also let in 5 goals without putting up much of a fight. We will have to wait and see if he will bounce back tonight.

Despite losing a couple teeth in yesterday's game, Brendan Lemieux will suit up and play at his usual spot on the third line for the Rangers, proving once again why he has a reputation as a guy who's tough-as-nails.

Here is the Rangers' projected lineup for tonight's game against the Habs according to NHL.com correspondent Sean Farrell:

Forwards:

Artemi Panarin - Ryan Strome - Jesper Fast

Chris Kreider - Filip Chytil - Pavel Buchnevich

Brendan Lemieux - Brett Howden - Kaapo Kakko

Tim Gettinger - Greg McKegg - Brendan Smith

Defensemen:

Libor Hajek - Jacob Trouba

Brady Skjei - Tony DeAngelo

Ryan Lindgren - Adam Fox

Goaltenders:

Alexandar Georgiev

Henrik Lundqvist

Michael Haley will be the sole healthy scratch tonight for the Blueshirts as Mika Zibanejad and Marc Staal are still on the injury reserve list.

The Canadiens are also coming off a defeat to the Senators. They lost by a score of 2-1 in extra time on Wednesday. Unlike the Rangers, the Canadiens have had time to rest ahead of today's match. Coach Quinn and his men will have their work cut out for them.

It should be a great game of Hockey!
