Notorious pest says he wants to make a comeback to the NHL.

A former National Hockey League player says he wants to make a comeback, but the rest of the league might not feel the same way.

That's because the man who announced his desire to return during a segment with TVA Sports is none other than notorious pest and agitator Maxim Lapierre, a player with a very colorful reputation among fellow players and fans.

Lapierre, now 31, has spent the last year playing in Sweden but claims he has already received at least two offers from unnamed National Hockey League teams. Lapierre says he is committed to working hard and intends to do what he needs to do in order to be a solid contributor for a franchise, although it sounds like he is hoping for a contract offer from a legitimate contender.

No word yet on what teams are interested or how soon a deal could get done to bring Lapierre back to North America.
