William Nylander's concussion might force him to miss the opportunity to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs this season.

The plan was to call-up Nylander after the All-Star break, since he is doing very well in the AHL.

Unfortunately for him, according to Damien Cox from Sportsnet, the Leafs' organization has decided to let him rest and play the rest of the season in the Ahl with the Toronto Marlies:

"That's all off the table right now," Cox said. "I think he's going to miss a month or more when it's all said and done."

Before joining team Sweden at the WHJC, Nylander was leading the AHL with 34 points in 27 games. He ranks now 2nd despite missing some games.

It will be interesting to see if the Leafs have a change of heart and call-up their 8th selection overall of the 2014 entry draft.
