He couldn't dodge the window but he dodged a bullet.

It seems like National Hockey League star Ryan O'Reilly may have dodged a bullet, even if he couldn't dodged the window of a coffee shop.

According to a report from Jane Sims of the London Free Press, the prosecution's case against Reilly fell apart this week when their primary witness folded under cross examination from O'Reilly's attorney, leading to a not guilty verdict for the Buffalo Sabres forward.

When the witness was pressed, she admitted that she did not see anyone in the truck after the crash, and therefore could not reliably identify who had been behind the wheel of the vehicle at the time of the accident.

"It was a mystery driver."

Without their primary witness the prosecution felt they did not have enough to proceed and O'Reilly was found not guilty.
