Oilers can't end Panthers' winning streak, lose at home.

In another lacklustre performance from the Edmonton Oilers, the Florida Panthers extended their streak to 12 wins.

Edmonton only scored one goal on 25 shots and surrendered 2 first period goals on defensive mistakes and lost their 6th games in their last 8.

Head coach Todd McLellan argued that his team will have to eliminate costly mistakes:

"The home run mistakes, those have to be eliminated from our game," said Oilers coach Todd McLellan. "The mistake that Darnell made, they have to be eliminated. That's an individual mistake that has to be out of the game."

The game was mark with a dangerous hit by Matt Hendricks on Florida's young star defenseman, Aaron Ekblad.

The NHL announced that the Oilers' forward will have an hearing with the NHL's committee of discipline and player safety.
