While they are the only team being rumored in the trade, the Boston Bruins as well as the Detroit Red Wings are also potential partners, the Oilers are currently rumored to be one of the teams involved in a deal to acquire a veteran defenseman.

According to a report from Kevin Allen of USA Today the Anaheim Ducks will be looking to make a trade once the signing of restricted free agent defenseman Hampus Lindholm is complete. Allen believes the organizations surplus of defense, as well as NHL ready defensive prospects will result in them moving out a veteran defenseman, and he believes that man will be Cam Fowler.

It's been no secret that Edmonton Oilers general manager Peter Chiarelli has been working hard to improve his blue line, and it's no secret that he's been willing to deal talent up front to do so, making them an ideal fit for this potential deal, the question becomes how much would the Ducks want in return, and how much is Chiarelli willing to pay.?
