Several National Hockey League veterans got a second chance on Tuesday as they were offered professional tryouts with different teams.

The Oilers Nation followed the action and wondered which free agents still out there might be good fits for the Edmonton Oilers. The news site started by Jiri Hudler, who could be a good fit for the Oilers. Despite several injuries and a decreasing offense, Hudler is a genuine finisher with a career shooting percentage of 15 percent while scoring 79 percent of those goals at even-strength. He could bring some speed and creativity on a line with Leon Draisailt or Milan Lucic. He could come back to scoring more than 20 goals, like he did back in 2014-15 with the Calgary Flames

The Oilers could also have a look at forward John Mitchell, who is a good asset in the faceoff circle. He won 56% of his even-strength faceoffs last year. He can be used on the penalty kill and can still deliver some hits.

Pierre-Alexandre Parenteau might also be an option for the Oilers to add as a right-shooting goal-scorer. Daniel Winnik is also mentioned as a possibility. He had a good season last year with the Washington Capitals, and he is versatile on the wing and down the middle.

Right defenseman Dennis Wideman could be looked at by the Oilers. He could be used on the blue line's third pairing and on the power-play. He might be useful to have in depth in case of injuries.

What do you think Oilers fans? Who would you like to see brought up into camp on a tryout in Edmonton?
