One more big move for the New-Jersey Devils?

The New-Jersey Devils took the hockey world by surprise last summer when they pulled off one of the biggest trade of the salary cap era. By trading their best defenceman Adam Larsson, the Devils got one of the best left-winger in the game; Taylor Hall.

The acquisition of Taylor Hall was supposed to bolster the Devils' offense but as they currently rank 28th in the league in goal-scored, Ray Shero has to consider it a failure. Hall is producing at the slowest pace of his career even though he's leading the team in scoring.

According to New-York Post's Larry Brooks the Devils' general manager could be tempted to trade another big piece of his roster to improve his offense. Brooks said the Devils could consider moving their goaltender Cory Schneider to someone in need, like the Dallas Stars for Anti Niemi and an offensive defenceman, probably Julius Honka. More recently, Brooks said the Saint-Louis Blues, in an attempt to win the Stanley Cup, could look for a solid goaltender like Schneider to take Jake Allen's spot.

At some point, Ray Shero has to consider every possibilities to improve his roster and build a brighter future. Schneider will soon be 31 and it would be a surprise if the Devils are contending before he turns 35... now maybe the time to turn the page and get some value out of Schneider while they can.
