One of the most unique feature of Gordie Howe's career was his longevity. As you know, he played in the NHL until he hit 42, but he played professional hockey until he reached the amazing age of 51 years old.
Tonight, one of his records was broken by Jaromir Jagr.
With his 269th, Jagr surpasses Howe on this very peculiar record. Playing in the NHL at 45 is amazing in itself, but Jagr keeps on going like it was nothing.
Now, Jagr still has a long way to go before reaching all the other standing records of beloved Gordie Howe, but he can already brag about that feat for the rest of his life.
