One of Sweden's top goalies has signed with an NHL team.

One of Sweden's top goaltenders is coming to North America.

According to multiple reports the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League have signed the Swedish Hockey League's Marcus Hogberg to a two-year entry-level NHL deal that will kick in at the start of the 2017-2018 season.

Hogberg spent this past season with Linkopings HC where he appeared in 33 regular season games, recording a .931 save percentage and 1.89 goals against average, impressive numbers to be sure.

Ottawa's depth in goal was challenged this season when Craig Anderson took time off to be with his wife when she was afflicted with cancer, and this move will go a long way to shoring up that depth for the future.
