Ovechkin delivers a questionable hit from behind.

This wasn't Alex Ovechkin's finest moment.

On a night in which the Washington Capitals hit 44 wins faster than any other team in National Hockey League history, Ovechkin made a highlight that he probably won't be too proud of. Ovechkin delivered a hit to Coyotes forward Jordin Martinhook right between the numbers along the boards sending him down in a heap on the ice.

Ovechkin tried to play it off like he didn't do anything wrong, however the official was well positioned to witness the hit and Ovechkin was sent to the box with a minor penalty. It didn't look like the most vicious of hits, and perhaps Ovechkin was protesting what he may have felt was a little embellishment from Martinhook.
