P.K. Subban fires off shots at the Canadiens after today's blockbuster trade!

First things first, it's important to note that whatever you may think of P.K. Subban on the ice, off the ice the guy has been an incredible class act, and frankly a role model for other professional athletes in North American pro sports.

So with that in mind, today's comments from Subban after being notified that he had in fact been traded by the Montreal Canadiens to the Nashville Predators seemed to indicate that the rumors of personality clashes in the locker room, or between Subban and the team's management, were very real.

According to a report from TVA Sports Subban made several inflammatory comments during the call, clearly intended to be jabs at the Habs, which is out of character for the 27 year old blue liner, here are some examples.

"I feel like I'm much closer top the Stanley Cup now."

"I'm not really surprised, I am now joining a team that wants me."

"I am happy that I will now be in an environment that will allow me to be myself on a day to day basis."
