P.K. Subban slams the Montreal Canadiens!

Nashville Predators star defenseman P.K. Subban opened up about Andrei Markov's departure from the Montreal Canadiens. They played together from 2009 to 2016, and developed a very good relationship. As a matter of fact, Subban was invited to Markov's wedding, which took place only a few weeks ago.

NHL.com's Arpon Basu talked with the Preds' defenseman earlier today, who said he was surprised to learn Montreal got rid of Markov, who played for them for 16 years:

"I can't really envision the Montreal Canadiens without Andrei Markov on the blue line. That's No. 1," Subban told NHL.com. "Even before I played for the team, I watched him play for the team and be their best defenseman. Even while I was there, I still thought he was our best defenseman, even though a lot of people thought because of what I got paid it was me. You can't really put a price tag on how he plays because he's so smart, the way he sees the ice." 

He also added that anyone who played with Markov knows how good he is. Both defensemen were often paired up on Montreal's power-play, and is probably one of the people who know Markov the most.
