You honestly can't make this stuff up.

A night where Montreal looks to be on it's way to their second loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets is as many nights just wasn't bad enough, a night that also saw the Canadiens learn that Daniel Carr was done for the season still wasn't bad enough, P.K. Subban also had to take out Montreal's star forward.

Obviously it wasn't intentional, but about midway through the second period Subban fired a rocket from the blue line that struck Max Pacioretty in the face. Needless to say, Pacioretty was in considerable pain, and he would immediately leave the ice, and at the time of this writing has not returned.

Honestly the Canadiens just can't seem to catch a break right now.

Update: Montreal has confirmed Pacioretty will not return.
