There is a rather hotly anticipated match up coming this week and it seems like the media is already looking forward to it.

This upcoming Saturday the Montreal Canadiens will face off against the Las Vegas Golden Knights and although the game will carry with it the usual importance that a game at this stage of the regular season brings with it, there will be some additional pride on the line for both sides. You see Saturday will mark the first time that former Montreal Canadiens captain Max Pacioretty will play in Montreal since parting ways with the Habs organization this summer, and although both Pacioretty and the Habs will look to downplay it there is no doubt that this game will carry some extra significance for both sides.

TSN National Hockey League insider Pierre LeBrun had a chance to catch up with Pacioretty on Monday after he made his return to practice following an injury suffered earlier in the season. LeBrun asked Pacioretty about his return to Montreal and the extra pressure that comes with such a game and Pacioretty followed up with a rather amusing answer.

From LeBrun:

I asked Max Pacioretty after practice here in Toronto how many ticket requests he’s had already for Saturday in Montreal and he joked he’s keeping his phone off so his credit card won’t get maxed out.

Sportsnet National Hockey League insider Chris Johnston also had a chance to catch up with Pacioretty on Monday and when Pacioretty was asked about his former team he gave a surprising answer. According to Johnston Pacioretty claims that he has not been following the progress of his former team, but when you consider the bad blood that had reportedly built up behind the scenes I find that incredibly difficult to believe. The Habs have had an unexpectedly good start to the season however so perhaps Pacioretty, who has had a rather poor start to the season himself, felt it better not to offer any comment on that at all.

"No hard feelings," said Pacioretty.

I'm not entirely sure if Pacioretty is being honest here either, and I expect him to turn his game up an extra gear at the Bell Centre on Saturday.
