Lineback Krys Barnes has been given something of a second life on the Green Bay Packers roster as the team made some final adjustments to its roster just prior to facing their long time rivals the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday afternoon.

The Packers announced on Saturday via the team's official website that they had signed Barnes to a brand new contract after having cut him from the roster earlier during training camp and subsequently signing him to the team's practice roster following that cut. Barnes is not the only player from the practice squad that will be joining the main roster however, the Packers also announced on Saturday that they would be elevating both linebacker Tipa Galeai and tight end John Lovett from the practice squad to the main roster ahead of gameday.

These are of course relatively minor moves on the part of the Packers but they are relevant due to the fact that Barnes now occupies the final spot on the Packers 53 man roster, indicating that the team is effectively set to kick off the 2020 National Football League season.
