Many times this season, the Florida Panthers made records in low attendance with just a few thousands people coming to their games at the BB&T Center and it seems now like the owner is getting a plan together to remedy this awful situation.

On Tuesday night, the Montreal Canadiens hosted the Panthers and completely humiliated them in a 6-1 win. During the second intermission on TSN, NHL insider Pierre LeBrun revealed how the Panthers might go all out this summer to get fans in their seats.

“They’re not a bad team: I spoke with Panthers GM Dale Tallon on Monday and you feel like they’re close when you think of Barkov, one of the great superstars in the world, and they have Huberdeau… They have a core and last year they were one point out of the playoffs, but it’s just not there, they’re going to make changes.
“They’re going to go after Panarin, they’re going to go after Bobrovsky and if they don’t get those guys, they’re going to look at the trade market, but the thing is: they are not done making changes. They want to finally create a splash in that market, they are 30th in the league in attendance: the owner wants results. So it will be a big offseason for the Panthers.”

The Panthers made the postseason just twice in the last 18 years and something has got to happen: not only to improve the market but also the team and the winning culture in sunny Florida.

Do you think going all in on the free agent market will fix things there?
