Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron wrote his name in the franchise history book last night, when he scored a hat-trick against the New York Islanders. The three goals he scored made him pass Wayne Cashman for seventh on the Bruins all-time goals list. Bergeron has now 278 goals since the start of his career.

Drafted 45th overall by the Bruins back in 2003, Bergeron played 938 games with Boston so far, scoring 278 goals and 431 assists for a total of 709 points. Bergeron won five individual awards since the start of his career, including four Frank J.Selke Awards (best defensive forward).

This season, the L'Ancienne Lorette, Quebec native has 19 goals and 19 assists for a total of 38 points in 39 games played. He scored 14 goals in his last 16 games.
