Patrick Marleau gets chirped online by his own wife

Hands up if you forgot that Patrick Marleau is a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

I won’t lie. I remember, but the fact is that there are a lot of hockey fans out there who straight up forgot about Marleau’s trade from the San Jose Sharks to the Penguins for a 3rd round pick at February’s trade deadline.

Marleau, who is still chasing after a Stanley Cup, is now back in Pittsburgh where he has resumed training for the playoffs later this summer. But… there’s just one thing off about him. Patty forgot his jersey, so he was forced to take the ice in a Penguins sweatshirt. His wife Christina wasn’t about to let him off the hook for this look though:

I gotta say… it’s not a terrible look. I dunno about the sweatshirt, but I’ve been known to rock the elbow pads out look during some beer league tilts.  In fact, it used to be a fairly regular look around the NHL until the league started to crack down on stuff like that.

Maybe Patty sparks a renaissance?
