Toronto Maple Leafs forward Patrick Marleau reached another impressive milestone last night in his team game against the Philadelphia Flyers. This game was Marleau 1,540th in the NHL, which made him tied Johnny Bucyk and Shane Doan for 14th all-time on the NHL's career games played list.

Drafted second overall by the San Jose Sharks in 1997, Marleau has now scored 523 goals and 583 assists for a total of 1,106 points in 1,540 games played in the NHL with the Sharks and the Leafs. He also added 120 points in 177 playoff games. The 38-year old forward has scored 15 goals and nine assists for a total of 24 points in 47 games so far this season. He signed with Toronto as a free agent last summer.

Flyers goaltender Michael Neuvirth robbed him of a goal in last night's game, sprawling to his right to make an unbelievable pad save to kept the game tied. Toronto lost the game 3-2 in overtime, after they were leading by two goals after 40 minutes.

The Maple Leafs are currently third in the Atlantic division with a record of 25-17-5. Toronto lost their last four games, and are 3-3-4 in their last ten. They will be playing their next game tomorrow against the Ottawa Senators
