One of the hottest topic for the Montreal Canadiens was the departure of forward Alexander Radulov to the Dallas Stars. Several fans blamed Habs general manager Marc Bergevin for not being able to sign him, but it looks like the Russian's mind was made up on Texas. Even legendary NHL goalie and former coach Patrick Roy could not convince him to stay.

Roy indeed tried to tell Radulov to stay in Montreal. In an interview with French radio 98,5, the former Habs netminder revealed that he had talked to the Russian forward before he chose to sign with the Stars. 

"I talked to Radu before he made his decision. He loved playing in Montreal. Unfortunately, he had to make a choice and he felt that it was better for him to go play in Dallas."

Radulov signed a five-year contrat, worth $31,25 millions with the Stars. To the disappointement of many Habs fans...
