By the sounds of it, one of the top projected picks in the 2016 National Hockey League Draft is in fact injured.

Finnish forward Patrik Laine admitted to NHL.com's Mike G. Morreale that he was dealing with a leg injury that prevented him from full participation at the combine.

"I couldn't finish [the tests] because I had some problem with my leg, but I think it went pretty normal otherwise," Laine said. "I'm OK. I didn't finish the test because I just don't want to get hurt; I have an important summer and I don't want to miss that."

To make matters worse Laine admitted that the injury is to the same leg on which he has previously had surgery. It's even more frustrating when you consider the injury was caused by a completely unnecessary and seemingly intentional and dirty play from NHL forward Corey Perry.

It's unclear at this time how serious the injury is.
