The National Hockey League season has come to a grinding halt and with no hockey on the ice players from the league are having to find creative ways to have a good time during this crisis.

Last week Winnipeg Jets star forward Patrik Laine found his own way to have a little enjoyment during a live interview with the Finnish media, although it came at the expense of one of his teammates. Now to be clear here Laine was quite obviously cracking jokes with reporters but there was also no question that it was one teammate getting hit with all of the burns. Of course long time Jets fans will not be surprised to learn that the target of Laine's barbs was longtime teammate Nikolaj Ehlers, a fellow European.

The first barb came when Laine was asked by reporters if he was keeping in touch with his Winnipeg Jets teammates. Laine told reporters that he had not had much communication with any of his teammates but did go out of his way to say that the aforementioned Ehlers was the exception. Now Laine wasn't trying to keep tabs on Ehlers to make sure he was doing alright during the crisis, but instead was sending the Jets winger pictures of his Lamborghini.

"I've been sending him pics from my Lambo," said Laine with a big smile.

Laine also recently had his hat trick, game winning goal, against the Toronto Maple Leafs voted as one of the best moments in Winnipeg Jets history and he was asked about that night. When Laine fired the goal that would become his third of the game he had a streaking Ehlers coming down his wing with him, because of course he did, and reporters asked Laine if he had given any thought to making the pass at the time. Needless to say Laine once again hit his good friend with a spectacular roast.

"Absolutely not. I’m always thinking about shooting it, especially with Nikky on the other side. I had to shoot it if we wanted to score," said Laine with a chuckle.

Of course Laine and Ehlers are known to be good friends, but here's to hoping we see Ehlers fire some shots of his own back at his buddy.
