Penguins get Malkin back today!

Pittsburgh Penguins star forward Evgeni Malkin is ready to return to action and it will happen tonight.

Head coach Mike Sullivan announced on Saturday morning that Geno, who has missed most of the season with a lower-body injury, will be in the lineup when the Penguins take on the Edmonton Oilers this afternoon.

"Good to go."

The Penguins started the 2019-20 season with bad luck, losing many of their forwards to injury, including Malkin. He was injured in Pittsburgh’s second game of the season.

The Russian superstar has one goal in two games played this season. The 33-year-old recorded 21 goals and 72 points in 68 games last year.

The Penguins still managed to impress without Geno in the lineup, putting up an 8-5 record in 13 games this season. They hold the first wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference and hope to keep going strong as they face the Oilers later today.
