For the second consecutive year the Pittsburgh Penguins were the top trending NHL team on Google. The internet search giant released the results of it’s annual Search Trends list with the Penguins and Sidney Crosby topping the list of most searched NHL teams and NHL players.
Young Penguins sensations Jake Guentzel and Matt Murray also ranked amongst the top trending NHL players for 2017. For what it’s worth globally the top five trending search terms in 2017 were Hurricane Irma, iPhone 8, iPhone X, Matt Lauer and Megan Markle.
