There have been multiple reports suggesting that both Claude Julien and Peter Chiarelli could be without jobs this summer if the Bruins fail to make the post season. Most notably a report from hockey insider Darren Dreger suggested missing the post
“Whether it’s Cam or Charlie who said we’re all under review, I understand that,” Chiarelli told the Boston Globe. “We’ve had a lot of success here in my tenure and Claude’s tenure. We’re having a down year. It’s unfortunate that we’re under review for one year. But I understand. We’ve got to make things better.”It's a fair point, the Bruins won a cup in 2011, that was followed by a run to the finals just two years later in 2013, and they had the best team in hockey during the 2014 regular season. However it's also fair to be critical of some of the moves Chiarelli has made during his tenure, most notably the moves surrounding Tyler Seguin and Johnny Boychuk. There have also been legitimate questions about how the team has drafted under his leadership, these are all things that ownership and president Cam Neely are currently mulling over.
