If you’re not familiar with the “One More Shift” tradition from the Chicago Blackhawks organization, get ready for an incredible nostalgia trip.

As a way of honoring past players and legends from the franchise, the Blackhawks will often invite these players back to Chicago to take a final lap around the ice in full Blackhawks gear, while the United Center faithful give them a proper send off. The Blackhawks introduced the idea back in 2016 and have since gone on to honor legendary Blackhawks players like Denis Savard, Jeremy Roenick, Ed Belfour, Bryan Bickell and Eddie Olczyk.

Here’s the emotional “One More Shift” for Olczyck from last season, after returning from cancer treatment:

And Bickell’s emotional return after his Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis:

Tonight, the Blackhawks played host to another pair of Blackhawks legends with Phil and Tony Esposito taking the ice for One More Shift, check it out:

An incredible moment, made even more incredible by Tony O’s AWESOME vintage gear! Love it!
