Training in the off-season in the Toronto area, Phil Kessel gave a few words of advice to the many young players of the Toronto Maple Leafs: "It's always tougher the second [season], there is a little more pressure," said Kessel in an interview with TSN

Kessel who played six seasons with the Leafs knows about the pressure of playing in one of Canada's biggest hockey market, a pressure that young stars like Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and Willliam Nylander will face on a daily basis in the up-coming season.

All three of them will be entering their second season in NHL, and gained huge success last season as Matthews scored 40 goals and was elected rookie of the year, while Marner and Nylander both posted 60 points plus..

Surprisingly, Kessel loves to spend time in Toronto during the summer as he trains with former Leafs and Penguins player Gary Roberts

"They treated me great here. I like to come back and hang out with my friends. It’s a great city to live in and I like it here in the summer," said Kessel went through times in Toronto before being traded to Pittsburgh.

"Through my years here, we always had a lot of good players but we just couldn’t get over the hump. That’s kind of how it happens. We’ll see how they do this year."
