Pietrangelo buys crazy $6 million mansion in Vegas!

Alright... time to fess up...

When rumours started flying around that St. Louis Blues captain Alex Pietrangelo was going to test the open market and head to free agency, I didn't buy it. After all, this is the guy who finally delivered a Stanley Cup championship to the city of St. Louis after more than 50 years, after all. Surely Blues general manager Doug Armstrong would find a way to re-sign his captain, right? Wrong.

As we all know, the Blues elected to throw a bunch of cash at free agent defenseman Torey Krug and between that and the awful contract they handed Justin Faulk, there was simply no money left for Pietrangelo. He was scooped up by the Vegas Golden Knights and given a seven year, $61 million contract. So... excuse me if I don't exactly feel sorry for Petro these days. I think he'll get by just fine...

In fact, Petro and family seem to be settling into their new locale quite nicely, check out some of these shots of Pietrangelo's new $6 million mansion in Summerlin, Nevada:
