It appears to be taking Shea Weber some extra time to come to terms with the fact that he is no longer a member of the Nashville Predators.

According to Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette, the-now Montreal Canadiens' defenseman has yet to visit his new stomping ground since being acquired in a blockbuster trade. Cowan spoke to Weber's agent Jarrett Bousquet, who explained that his client has been unable to visit Montreal due to scheduling conflicts. Weber's summer home is also located in Kelowna, British Columbia, and he has spent the majority of the offseason there.

Bousquet insists there is nothing wrong and that his client's initial reaction was one of excitement after learning he had been dealt to the Canadiens for P.K Subban.

"His initial reaction (to the trade) was there was a pause and a little bit of shock. And then when he realized it was true, he was pretty excited," Bousquet said.

"Obviously now he's extremely excited being back in Canada and the pieces that they've put together. And he knows Carey Price from B.C. and the Olympics and whatnot, so I know he's very excited now."

Weber is a reserved person away from the ice and it will be interesting to see how he handles the pressure of playing in a town where hockey is intensely scrutinized.
