Player knocked out after taking a hit right on the chin.

We had another bad hit in the National Hockey League on Friday night.

This time is was Columbus Blue Jackets forward Nick Foligno who was left laying on the ice completely still for several moments before showing signs of obvious pain. Foligno was knocked out out when he took a very clear head shot from Carolina Hurricane Brad Malone, one that head enough impact to jar his head to the side.

To make matters worse the hit was delivered directly under the chin of Foligno, the worst spot to get hit when it comes to impact on the brain, and as a result chances of being knocked out.
