We can’t believe this situation has taken place in the National Hockey League and hope something can be done for this poor prospect…

19-year-old centre Shawn Element, who is the captain of the Acadie-Bathurst Titan in the QMJHL, managed to get a break in his young career this summer when he received an invitation to the rookie camp of the Chicago Blackhawks. Unfortunately, the young striker will not be able to attend because of an administrative error from the organization, according to Complete Hockey News.

Can you believe it?!

The Hawks have forgotten to send the papers to formalize the Element’s invitation to their rookie camp and therefore, the player cannot attend the event. We don’t know whose mistake this is but the fact remains that it is a shame for the talented forward, who will have to wait until next year to get another invitation to a professional camp.

Element, who has gone undrafted, recorded 33 points in 65 games for the Baie-Comeau Drakkar last summer before he was traded to the Titan. It was a career high for Element, who must be heartbroken over the news…

We certainly hope the Blackhawks can remedy the situation or invite him next summer…
