Possible trade coming between Flyers and Canadiens?

Trade rumors are part of hockey and we are all used to it. However, certain details can make you wonder if there is more truth to the rumor.

That is exactly what is going on today. Chuck Gormley who is a reporter for the NHL mentioned that Scott Mellanby who is the assistant GM of the Montreal Canadiens was at his second straight Philadelphia Flyers game to do some scouting. 

Scouts from NHL teams can be found at many different games throughout the season, that is not uncommon. However, having your assistant GM take in back to back games is curious. There have been rumors that the relationship between the Flyers and their young star defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere has becomed strained lately with Gostisbehere being a healthy scratch. Could the Habs be looking at him? The Habs have said they need a left defenseman to be able to play with Shea Weber. 

This is all still speculation, but again, Mellanby being at 2 straight games does add some validity to the rumor.
