After missing practice yesterday due to a lower body injury, Boston Bruins’ backup goaltender Anton Khudobin has made his return to the ice. Coach Bruce Cassidy expected a swift return but couldn’t say for certain.
This is great news for Boston – they’ve clearly expressed the desire and need to give Tuukka Rask more rest this year, and having a competent backup is crucial. 20-25 games can be a lot to shoulder; each point gained or lost by the backup could make the difference in a fight for a playoff spot.
Should Khudobin reaggravate this nagging injury, do you believe McIntyre or Subban can do the job in his place?
