Potential moves Glen Sather could make in the wake of the Lundqvist injury.

The Rangers now find themselves in a tough spot now that they know that their number one goaltender Herik Lundqvist will be out at least three weeks. It's hardly a stretch to think that Glen Sather will be forced to make a move to plug the whole left by Lundqvist and we believe these are the most likely candidates. Jason LaBarbera Our most obvious choice, although LaBarbera has played most of this season in the AHL, he has performed well when called upon. Add to that the fact that's he's played for both Alain Vigneault and Glen Sather in the past, and likely will have a relatively low price tag and you've got a recipe for a deal. If it's not Labarbera our best guess would be Michael Leighton. Yes the same Michael Leighton that struggled in Philadelphia. He's got a .931 save percentage in the American Hockey League this year, a pretty good number for a league that seems to favor offense. Leighton is currently a member of the Blackhawks organization, and the Blackhawks have a clear #1 in Corey Crawford and Antti Raanta and Scott Darling are competing for the #2. Again the move makes sense for both sides, Chicago doesn't really need Leighton, and the Rangers won't want to give up the farm for a temporary solution.
