Predators gets a natural born scorer off the waivers!

A 60-goals scorer in the OHL, he never had a real chance.

The New-Jersey Devils are anything but a scoring machine as they've just scored 58 goals in 23 games. Despite the summer acquisition of Taylor Hall and a somehow reinvigorated Mike Cammallerie, the New-Jersey formation still struggles to score goals.

Surprisingly they released Reid Boucher, a former 62 goal-scorer in the OHL with the Sarnia Sting. Boucher averaged 12 minutes this season in the NHL and was mostly assigned to 4th line duties and a few power-play now and then.

He will be glad to know the Nashville Predators, who are Stanley Cup contenders , recently claimed him off the waivers. While it's too fresh to know how Peter Laviolette might use him, there's definitely a spot for Boucher in the top9 as nobody's been scorching hot for the Preds so far this season.

Boucher has a career total of 11 goals, 18 assists in 82 NHL games.
