Prospect watch: Valimaki shines in the WHL
Keystone Press

Calgary Flames first round pick in 2017, Juuso Valimaki, is doing pretty well with the Tri-City Americans (WHL) so far this season. Drafted 16th overall by the Flames in June, the Finnish defenseman has scored five goals and added 12 assists for 17 total points in 16 games.

Valimaki adapted well the to the North American style since he started playing in the WHL, as he registered 110 points in 132 games played with the Americans. He added one point in four playoffs games.

He could turn pro next season, because of his age and the fact the the Flames drafted him from a CHL team.

What do you think, Flames fans? Can we see him in the NHL next season?
