Quick snaps on NHL officials after interference review doesn't go his way.

I gotta be honest I'm not sure I would ever want to be on the receiving end of Jonathan Quick's ire, the dude seems like he knows how to channel his anger.

On Saturday afternoon Quick and his Los Angeles Kings were taking on the Colorado Avalanche and their high powered offense and unfortunately for Quick and the Kings they were absolutely no match. To say that the Avalanche completely dominated the Kings in this game would be an understatement of epic proportions, at one point the Avalanche had opened up a 7 - 0 lead over the Kings, and to say that did not sit well with the Kings star goaltender would also be a major understatement.

Obviously getting scored on 5 times in under 29 minutes would get under the skin of even the most veteran and stoic of National Hockey League goaltenders but in this particular case Jonathan Quick was extra angry because he felt he was cheated by the NHL's officials on the ice. The source of Quick's anger occurred a little less than midway through the game's 2nd period after Quick had already allowed 4 goals in the game so far. Quick had to watch as him team turned a power play opportunity into a bad turnover in favor of the Avalanche, a turnover that gave the ads a magnificent scoring chance on the penalty kill.

To his credit Quick was able to make a solid first save before being driven into his net by the body of an Avalanche player, something that prevented him from getting into position to make the second save on the play. The result was 5 - 0 Avalanche but Quick immediately argued for interference and we were off to a review. There was no question that Quick was in fact interfered with but the NHL officials on the ice, having already called a penalty on the play, had ruled that the interference was caused by an illegal hook from a Kings player, resulting in the goal being allowed.

Here's the initial play:

Needless to say Quick was quick to show his displeasure and could be seen visibly mouthing off to the officials as he was pulled from the game and stormed off the ice.
