The National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety has made the decision not to suspend Philadelphia Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds but they may have triggered something much worse as a result.

The Rangers via Tanner Glass have made it crystal clear that they now intend to deal with Simmonds themselves, and Glass made comments on Tuesday to Brian Heyman and there was no doubt about his message, a bold threat, to Simmonds.

"He’s been in enough altercations to know that it’s coming," said Glass.

"...you’ve just got to let him know it’s not going to be tolerated. … He’ll know," added Glass.

Simmonds and Glass have gone to battle before, and Glass says he's ready to go once again.

"I know what I’m doing. The older you get, the more fights you’re in, the more you become comfortable with it."
