Tonight at 7 PM, the New York Rangers face off against the Hurricanes in Carolina. The Rangers are coming off a great 5-1 win against the Red Wings yesterday at home and will be looking for another one despite having played a game last night and having travelled to Carolina.

Henrik Lundqvist will get some well earned rest tonight after being instrumental in the Rangers victory over Detroit. His  backup, Alexandar Georgiev will step in as the starting netminder for the Rangers this evening.

On offense, Mika Zibanejad is still nursing an injury.

The rest of the line combinations should look very similar to those used in yesterday's game. Not surprising after such a convincing win. There is no doubt that the Blue Shirts are looking to keep the momentum going.

Here is the Rangers' projected lineup for tonight's game against the Hurricanes according to NHL.com correspondent Kurt Dusterberg:

Forwards:

Artemi Panarin - Ryan Strome - Jesper Fast

Chris Kreider - Filip Chytil - Pavel Buchnevich

Brendan Lemieux - Brett Howden - Kaapo Kakko

Brendan Smith - Greg McKegg - Micheal Haley

Defensemen:

Libor Hajek - Jacob Trouba

Brady Skjei - Tony DeAngelo

Marc Staal - Adam Fox

Goaltenders:

Alexandar Georgiev

Henrik Lundqvist

Forward Lias Andersson and d-man Ryan Lindgren will be the healthy scratches as Zibanejad is sidelined with an injury.

The Hurricanes' lineup will feature the dangerous Andrei Svechnikov - Sebastian Aho combination as well as a deep lineup, especially on defense. No NHL game is easy, but that may be particularly true when facing Carolina this season.

It should be a great game of hockey.
