Rangers land top NCAA prospect with free agent contract

This just in courtesy of NHL insider Frank Seravalli of TSN, the New York Rangers are expected to sign free agent forward Patrick Khodorenko of the NCAA’s Michigan State.

Also hearing #NYR are closing in on signing Patrick Khodorenko, another undrafted free agent centre, out of Michigan State.

No shortage of interest in Khodorenko, who is 21 and scored consistently at NCAA level for Spartans.

The 21 year old forward from Walnut Creek, California scored 16 goals and 33 points in 36 games with Michigan State this season and has put up three consecutive 30+ point seasons.

And now it’s official:
