The New York Rangers have officially announced a big peace of business.

According to a report from the Rangers, they have signed 17-year-old center Filip Chytil to his first even National Hockey League deal, a three year entry-level contract.

Chytil was the Rangers first round draft choice in the 2017 National Hockey League Entry Draft, selected 21st overall, and thus far has just played one professional season in the Czech league.

That season was spent with Zlin ZPS HC where he appeared in 38 games picking up 4 goals and 4 assists for 8 total points.
