In case you missed it last night, New York Rangers forward Mika Zibanejad scored a remarkable five goals including the OT winner in a 6-5 victory over the Washington Capitals. It was quite literally a performance fit for Broadway. Zibanejad was an absolute scoring machine and with each goal that he put up the hometown crowd at Madison Square Garden got louder and louder. When Zibanejad potted the OT winner, the roof damn near blew off MSG.

Check it out:

Incredible.

Zibanejad is the first Rangers player to score five goals since 2011 and just the third player in Rangers history to score five goals in a game. He's just the 2nd player in NHL history to score five goals including an overtime winner and he's the 4th player in NHL history to score a goal in all four periods of a game.

Incredible.

Again, in case you missed it here are all five goals on the evening:

After the game Zibanejad's Rangers teammates hid themselves away while he took his lap around the ice as the game's First Star. When Big Z returned to the locker room he was met with a nice surprise celebration from his teammates.
