According to multiple online sources, New York Rangers prospect Vitali Kravtsov will be returning to North America after a brief stint in the KHL with Traktor Chelyabinsk.

Check it out:

The 19 year old former 9th overall pick (2018 NHL Entry Draft) put up just 3 points in 11 KHL games with Traktor before being demoted to Russia's second league, the VHL. He put up just a single assist in five AHL games with the Hartford Wolf Pack earlier this season, as well.

It's not yet known whether Kravtsov will report to the Rangers or the Wolf Pack, but suffice it to say that this transaction has to be seen as a positive for Rangers fans. The uber talented Kravtsov simply wasn't getting much opportunity in Russia and should end up being better utilized while under the watch of the Rangers organization. Here's hoping he can finally get comfortable in North America and end up having the impact that many predicted he would this season.

Imagine a Rangers powerplay with weapons like Kravtsov, Kaappo Kakko, Artemi Panarin, Adam Fox and Jacob Trouba on the ice. Yowza!
