The Chicago Blackhawks faced off once more against the Detroit Red Wings in an attempt to even up the score after a harsh 6-3 defeat on Sunday, October 2nd.  Not only did the Blackhawks seek retribution during last night’s match but it was a massacre from beginning to end.

After 3 periods of play the Blackhawks tallied up a total of 6 goals. Ryan Hartman scored the first of the night on a backhand off of a Jimmy Howard rebound and Vinnie Hinostroza got the final touch on a deflection adding another one, ending the first period at 2-0 in favor of the home team.  Richard Pánik was able to launch a beautiful top corner shot during the power play to give his team a 3-0 lead.

Detroit Red Wings forward Louis-Marc Aubry scored the team’s only goal of the night in the second period. Nick Schmaltz scored one more for Chicago, while both Alexandre Fortin and Artem Anisimov were able to find the back of the net in the third, resulting in a triumphant 6-1 victory for the Chicago Blackhawks.
