After winning their last five games in a row, the Detroit Red Wings can look around their locker room and give credit to every single individual for their sustained efforts and dedication to winning as many games as they can. All of the players know that the “Farewell Season at the Joe” represents a monumental year, and are thus pulling their weight in the same direction.

 

 

Before the start of the regular season schedule, many Red Wings fans and analysts alike were concerned about the defensive corps of head coach Jeff Blashill’s team. During the preseason, it was reported that long-serving veteran Niklas Kronwall would miss the start of the year, which led to even more questions being raised.

 

 

Thankfully, players such as Mike Green and rookie Ryan Sproul have radically improved their play, as did Jonathan Ericsson, and Blashill therefore decided to stick with the winning formula regarding his blue line:
