Red Wings release veteran forward from PTO

As final roster cuts loom, the Detroit Red Wings are trimming the fat off their roster. They have announced that PA Parenteau has been released from his professional try out.

Parenteau was announced as a PTO along with veteran forward David Booth at the beginning of training camp. Parenteau has bounced around the NHL over the years having stints with the New York Islanders, Colorado Avalanche, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, New Jersey Devils and Nashville Predators. All signs are pointing to the NHL becoming a young mans game.
