Earlier this week HockeyFeed reported the call-up of Red Wings prospect Anthony Mantha. The Quebec native, Mantha was firing up the AHL with 8 goals in only 10 games and was expected to start the season in Detroit.

According to a french journalist, Guillaume Lefrançois, Anthony skated on the second line with Frans Nielsen and Tomas Tatar earlier this morning. Mantha, a natural-born goal scorer could be the solution to the Wings scoring drought. He could also be the spark that light up Tomas Tatar who hasn't been performing up to the expectations so far.

The Detroit Red Wings show a 8-6-1 record due to the stellar performance of Jimmy Howard who boasts a glowing 1.22 Goal-Against-Average and an uncredible .961 save percentage.

The Michigan based formation is in Montreal tonight to face the hottest team in the league and Carey Price.
