The centrepiece of the new $862 million dollar Little Caesars Arena in Detroit is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Details and images released today of the scoreboard and “jumbotron” at the Red Wings new home are simply stunning.

Crazy. The world’s largest seamless centerhung system in the world will allow video to fully wrap around the system, creating a full 360-degree experience for hockey fans. The system heatures 45 LED displays featuring more than 13,500 square feet and more than 16.5 million LEDs. Audio/visual nerds are drooling right now.

All told, the giant system will measure approximately 28 feet high by 44 feet wide and promises to bring full HD resolution to every fan in the building, regardless of whether they’re in the cheap seats or not. Incredible.
