When someone utters the phrase “I’ll eat my hat if…” it’s not usually taken literally. But then again, there’s nothing really usual about hockey fans… and certainly not the type who frequent social media site Reddit.
Prior to opening night of the Stanley Cup Playoffs Reddit user WMino pledged to literally eat his hat if the Columbus Blue Jackets managed to sweep the President’s Trophy winning Tampa Bay Lightning.

All kidding aside, kudos to this kid for stepping up and living up to his word. If nothing else it should earn him 15 minutes of fame on social media and in 2019 isn’t that what life is truly about?
